Zero Bank Review

Zero is a digital bank in the UK. Their main focus seems to be sustainability. In this review I will go into detail about what they do, what it's like to use, and other information.
What do they do?
Zero is focussed on delivering a sustainable, climate friendly banking experience. They have lots of features designed around sustainability, for example their GreenScore feature, which tracks how your purchases effect the environment. Zero stores your money using ClearBank, which is fully regulated in the UK.
What is it like to use?
Overall, the app is decent, and it works fine, the app can feel a little slow at times, but it's on par with other banks like Lloyds or HSBC. There aren't any problems with using the card, it's quite flawless.
What features does it have?
You get a free digital debit card, easy top-up from other banks, no exchange fees, free cash withdrawals with limits. Zero also has full Apple and Google pay support. When you join, you get to pick from 3 different designs for your digital card.
Is there any downsides?
Firstly, one of the biggest downsides is that as it is a digital-only bank, if you have a problem you can't go into a branch and speak with a person, which can make it difficult to get support.
Secondly, requesting a physical card costs £9.99, which is twice as expensive as most other banks (Most of them typically charge £4.99). This makes it a bit unfeasable to request a physical card unless you really need one, likely to do with their environmental stance.
Conclusion
Overall, Zero is alright, there's not really many perks that come with having them as your bank, other than the fee-free exchange rates. Most other banks will give you that perk, as well as others.
If you're someone who cares a lot about the environment, then Zero might be for you, as other than that, I don't see much benefit in choosing Zero other other banks.
